The IHF HKD Spain is a national Association that promotes Hapkido, Hankido and Hankumdo, and Korean culture linked to these disciplines as well. These three Korean martial arts are the foundation of the pillars of our martial practice.
This project of the IHF HKD Spain began in 2012, with the support of the International HKD Federation. After several years and a disagreement that occurred after an unagreed delivery of degrees by Korea in Spain, the project continued among several of its founding members, although without publicity, expansion and other types of promotional activities.
Currently, this project is still supported by the International HKD Federation and is directed by David Martínez, and supported by several other Black Belts (Carlos Leal, Jose Luis Villalón, Antonio Vivancos, Manolo Cobos and David M. Pichon). At same time, all the Masters work Hapkido within the legal scope regulated through the Royal Spanish Taekwondo Federation - Hapkido Department.
Our technical supervision in Hankido and Hankumdo is currently directed by Alberto Gamboa Hoonsanim, 7th Dan of the International HKD Federation, who in turn is the Representative of this Hapkido / Hankido / Hankumdo Federation in Chile.
In this 2023, the IHF HKD Spain Organization has reactivated the project started more than 10 years ago with the intention of bringing together practicing HKD Masters and supporters of the style of work, but above all with students and teachers who want to learn and above all to train.
